Korean Man Falls to Death from a Hotel in Pattaya, Accident Suspected

Pattaya –

A Korean man fell to his death from a hotel in Pattaya on Saturday morning (August 31st).

The Pattaya City Police were notified of the incident at 5:06 A.M. at a hotel in Nongprue. Police, rescue workers and the Pattaya News team arrived at the hotel shortly afterwards to find the body of Mr. B (Name withheld to ensure proper contact of family and embassy), 62, who was a Korean agriculturist on the ground. No sign of foul play was found on his body said Pattaya City Police.

Hotel staffers told Pattaya police that a group of Korean tourists checked into their rooms on Friday (August 30th). An unidentified friend who came to wake up the victim for an early departure did not find the victim in his room on the 10th floor. The friend asked staffers to look for him and after a brief search unfortunately discovered his body beneath the balcony.

The unidentified group of friends told the police that the group had gone drinking together and after they finished drinking the victim, who was heavily intoxicated, went back to his room.

At this stage, based on evidence, police believe that the incident may have been an accident. The name of the hotel was withheld by authorities pending a further investigation.

Just two days prior a New Zealand man fell to his death from a different hotel in Pattaya, as reported here.
