The Architectural Tour for All People Foundation, along with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Network of Wheelchair Architects, have officially organized the Tourism for All project.
This initiative aims to expand and develop inclusive and sustainable tourism for all. The target groups include the elderly, the disabled, and families of wheelchair users, who will participate in the project and jointly announced the Pattaya for All Project.
Mr. Sermsak Pongpanich emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “Today marks a major step in promoting the tourism business in Chonburi Province under the Tourism for All project. Our goal is to create opportunities for everyone, regardless of gender, age, or physical condition, to access tourist attractions in Pattaya conveniently, safely, and fairly. This aligns with international guidelines for sustainable tourism development, ensuring no one is left behind.”
The concept of Tourism for All focuses on designing and improving the environment to support tourism for people of all ages and physical conditions. This involves enhancing buildings, places, tourist attractions, and related services such as hotels, restaurants, and tourist shuttles to ensure they are easy and safe to use for all tourists according to international standards.
The project also emphasizes developing personnel with the knowledge and skills to care for the disabled and elderly.
