On August 23rd, 2024, National Police Chief Pol. Gen. Torsak Sukvimol visited the Pattaya City Police Station to deliver operational guidelines to the officers.
According to Thai national media, Pol. Gen. Torsak emphasized the critical role tourism plays in Thailand’s economy, with Pattaya being a top destination for international visitors. Ensuring tourist safety and building confidence is paramount, and the readiness of Pattaya’s law enforcement agencies is commendable.
Pol. Gen. Torsak highlighted two key factors for effective policing: community collaboration and officer morale. He praised the strong relationship between the Pattaya Police Station and local committees, which he believes will ensure smooth operations and public cooperation.
Additionally, he stressed the importance of welfare for officers, as high morale leads to better performance. He urged all officers to adhere to the Royal Thai Police’s vision of becoming a globally trusted law enforcement body, dedicated to public service.
