Saraburi Police Seize Nearly 2 Million Meth Pills After Highway Chase

On August 20th, 2024, Saraburi Highway police pursued a drug trafficking gang and seized a pickup truck containing 1.9 million methamphetamine pills packed in five white rucksacks at Chonprathan Soi 1 in Nong Khae, Saraburi.

According to the police, the Saraburi Highway police patrolled Highway 2044 near Raphiphat Canal in Nong Khae when they spotted a suspicious gray pickup truck.

The officers signaled for the vehicle to stop, but the driver reportedly zoomed off, eventually abandoning the vehicle in Chonprathan Soi 1 before fleeing into the darkness on foot.

A search of the vehicle revealed five rucksacks containing a total of 1,970,000 methamphetamine pills. Police conducted a thorough search of the surrounding area but were unable to locate the suspects. The seized drugs were handed over to the Narcotics Suppression Bureau for further investigation.
