Banglamung Residents Offer Alms to Mark Her Royal Majesty The Queen Mothers Birthday

Banglamung residents gathered today, August 12th, to arrange an almsgiving ceremony to celebrate Queen Sirikit’s birthday and Thailand’s National Mother’s Day.

The ceremony was held at the Banglamung District Office in Chonburi province to honor Her Majesty Queen Mother Sirikit on the occasion of her 92nd birthday. The event was led by Mr. Weekit Manarojkit, the Banglamung District Chief.

The ceremony included a Buddhist chanting ritual and almsgiving of rice and dry foods to 93 monks. The event was attended by officials, judges, police, community leaders, associations, clubs, and residents of Banglamung.

Attendees wore blue shirts and official uniforms to honor the occasion and express their gratitude and loyalty. Many families also brought their mothers to join in the merit-making ceremony.
