Bang Lamung —
At exactly 6:06 PM on August 9th, 2024, the Huai Yai Municipality’s Disaster Relief Center received a report of a house fire at The Lake Huai Yai, Bang Lamung, Chonburi.
Firefighters and relevant agencies from Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan quickly arrived at the scene to find a luxury two-story house engulfed in flames.

Villagers, mostly Chinese nationals, watched as firefighters battled the blaze, which took over 30 minutes to bring under control. Inside, all properties were destroyed, and a white truck was damaged on the passenger’s window by an explosion, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.

According to a Chinese family of three, translated by an interpreter, the fire started while they were cooking, when flames suddenly erupted from a gas cylinder. They managed to escape before the gas exploded, seeking help from neighbors. Luckily, nobody was injured.
The names of the Chinese individuals were not revealed to the public, noted TPN.
Initial investigations suggest the fire was caused by a gas leak, with damages estimated at over 3 million baht. Police are coordinating with forensic experts to determine the exact cause of the fire incident.
