Bangkok, August 6th, 2024 – Bangkok Pattaya Hospital, in collaboration with AIA Co., Ltd., organized a health seminar titled “Whispers from the Heart and Brain” to address the prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) among all age groups, not just retirees. The event took place in a meeting room on the 10th floor of Building D at Bangkok Pattaya Hospital.
The seminar was inaugurated by Mr. Chaiyaset Thanaset, Managing Director of Thanaset Enterprise Co., Ltd., and a member of the BNI Ocean Sriracha group. Expert doctors, including Dr. Prinya Chomsang, a cardiologist, and Dr. Sirinat Phuengcharoen, a neurologist and brain specialist, provided valuable insights into various NCDs. These diseases include cardiovascular diseases, cerebrovascular diseases, diabetes, cancer, chronic respiratory diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and emphysema, chronic kidney disease, obesity, cirrhosis, and dementia.
The doctors emphasized that current fast-paced lifestyles, poor dietary habits, accumulated stress, and lack of proper exercise significantly increase the risk of these diseases. They also highlighted advancements in modern treatment technologies, which, while effective, come with high costs and require continuous follow-up to ensure a good quality of life for patients.
The seminar aimed to help attendees understand these diseases better and plan for unexpected health events. Additionally, a special Business Network session was held, allowing entrepreneurs from the BNI Ocean Sriracha group and business owners in Chonburi province to meet, exchange ideas, and introduce their businesses to one another.
This collaborative effort between Bangkok Pattaya Hospital and AIA underscores the importance of raising awareness about NCDs and promoting proactive health management across all age groups.
