Two motorcyclists were injured, one critically, in a motorbike collision in Pattaya early this morning, August 6th.
At 1:06 AM, the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Foundation were notified of a motorcycle collision at the entrance of Soi Khao Talo, Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province. They immediately dispatched rescue volunteers to the scene.
Upon arrival, rescue workers found a Honda PCX motorcycle overturned and damaged in the middle of the road. An unidentified Thai man, approximately 20-30 years old, was found lying face down in a pool of blood, having suffered severe injuries. Rescue workers and medical staff provided initial first aid before quickly transporting him to a nearby hospital.
The other party involved was a black Honda Wave motorcycle, also found overturned in the road with significant front-end damage. The rider, Mr. Paweenpol Lundang, 30, sustained a head injury and abrasions. Rescue workers provided him first aid before he went to the hospital on his own.
Mr. Paweenpol told The Pattaya News that he was slowing down to turn into Soi Khao Talo 4 when the motorcycle behind him collided with his bike, causing it to fall over in the middle of the road.
Mr. Prakasit Kannooi, 17, a witness, reported seeing both injured parties traveling in the same direction from the railway area towards the entrance of Khao Talo. He noticed Mr. Paweenpol attempting to turn into the soi and was then hit from behind by the following motorcycle, which caused the bike to spin and crash. He immediately called for help.
Police are investigating.
