Pattaya-
In a delightful scene along Pattaya Beach Road, Chonburi Province, tourists were treated to a captivating lute performance by independent artist Mr. Lek Phokrasang. His spirited playing resonated with passersby, drawing attention and creating an atmosphere of joy.
Mr. Lek, aged 35, has a passion for music and a knack for engaging audiences. Formerly part of an independent artist parade team in Sisaket Province, he now resides in Pattaya City. His Facebook fan page, “Lek Pin Rock,” showcases his talent and connects him with supporters.
Balancing a full-time job with his artistic pursuits, Mr. Lek dedicates his free time to busking. Armed with a small sound system, he sets up at the multipurpose area near the Pattaya Klang intersection. Tourists spontaneously join in, dancing and sharing the moment.
Understanding the bureaucratic process, Mr. Lek obtained a busking card, allowing him to showcase his abilities in various locations. Both Thai and foreign tourists appreciate his performances, reinforcing his belief that music can spread happiness.
“I want to do what I’m good at,” says Mr. Lek, “and share smiles with others continuously.” His lute melodies add color to the Pattaya seaside, stimulating soft power and leaving a mark on the hearts of those who listen.
