SCB X Requests Delay in Termination of Robinhood Food Delivery Service

On July 30th, 2024, SCB X PCL. submitted a request to the Stock Exchange of Thailand to postpone the termination of the food delivery service “Robinhood” application.

Mr. Manop Sangiambut, the Chief Financial Officer of SCB X, issued a letter to the directors and managers of the Stock Exchange of Thailand regarding the postponement of the cessation of food delivery services by Purple Ventures Co., Ltd.

According to the statement, SCB X announced that during the Board of Directors meeting on July 29th, the board resolved to approve the postponement of the termination of Robinhood’s food delivery service.

The decision was made as the company is currently considering acquisition proposals from a larger number of interested parties than anticipated. Other services, including vehicle and electric motorcycle rental agreements and loans for riders, will still terminate as scheduled on July 31st.

SCB X remains committed to ensuring the sustainability of the Robinhood application, developed by Thais for Thais, aiming to maximize benefits for all stakeholders, including consumers, merchants, and Robinhood riders, according to the statement.
