Intoxicated Driver Crashes Sedan into Central Reservation in Pattaya

Pattaya, July 27th — A drowsy and likely intoxicated driver collided with a central reservation in Banglamung early Saturday morning. The incident occurred at 6:30 A.M. near the Thep Prasit Intersection in Nongprue.

Upon arrival, the Pattaya City Police discovered a sedan partially resting on the central reservation. The male driver, approximately 30 years old, was accompanied by a female passenger around 40 years old. Although both appeared intoxicated, neither sustained injuries.

Mr. Chanai, a staffer responsible for the seized car garage at the Pattaya Police Station, recounted the events.

According to a security guard, the sedan had been parked at the intersection. Mr. Chanai approached the vehicle and attempted to communicate with the driver. In a panic, the driver inadvertently pressed the accelerator, resulting in the collision with the central reservation.

It is unclear if the occupants of the vehicle would face legal charges.
