Chonburi – In a significant move to stimulate tourism, Mr. Thawatchai Srithong, Governor of Chonburi Province, has partnered with both public and private sector leaders to launch the Chonburi Travel Mart 2024 on July 18th, 2024. This major business negotiation expo aims to generate over a billion baht in tourism revenue.
The event, held at The Sign Hotel in Pattaya, saw participation from key figures including Mr. Wittaya Khunpluem, President of the Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization, and Mr. Kritsana Bunsawat, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya City. The expo attracted tourism entrepreneurs and representatives from travel agencies both domestically and internationally.
Chonburi Travel Mart 2024 builds on the success of the annual Pattaya Travel Mart, expanding its reach to include tourism operators from across Chonburi Province. Over 130 local tourism businesses participated as sellers, while more than 200 travel agencies from countries such as China, India, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam attended as buyers.
Governor Thawatchai emphasized the importance of tourism as a primary income source for the province. He expressed hope that the event would drive business expansion and strengthen the tourism sector throughout the year. The collaboration between public and private sectors aims to boost confidence among tourism businesses and travelers, showcasing the best of Chonburi.
Mr. Wittaya Khunpluem highlighted the ongoing efforts of the Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization to promote tourism in partnership with the private sector. He reiterated their commitment to supporting tourism activities and working closely with entrepreneurs.
Deputy Mayor Kritsana Bunsawat noted that Chonburi and Pattaya are well-equipped to welcome tourists of all ages, offering world-class accommodations and attractions. He praised the professional service standards of local operators, which ensured a memorable experience for visitors.
