Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Hosts Thai Dragon Tongue Growers Club Meeting

Pattaya, July 14, 2024- Nong Nooch Tropical Gardens in Pattaya recently welcomed the Thai Dragon Tongue Growers Club for a special meeting. The event aimed to discuss the collection, exchange, and development of dragon tongue tree species for study.

During the meeting, Mr. Kamphon Tansajja, President of Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, introduced a groundbreaking hybrid species—a cross between the Wasana tree and the dragon tongue tree. This unique creation, developed by Thai experts, is the first of its kind globally. The introduction adds to the diversity of exotic species available both in Thailand and abroad.

Nong Nooch Garden Pattaya boasts an impressive collection of over 18,000 different plant types. As part of the club’s visit, participants explored the Arboretum area in the foothills of the Ban Dai Krit Mountain. They also had the opportunity to witness the dragon tongue trees on display, which serve as ornamental plants suitable for both interior and exterior decoration.

Notably, these trees contribute to air purification, enhancing the quality of the surrounding environment.

Visitors, including both Thai and foreign tourists, can now experience the beauty and value of these rare plants at Nong Nooch Garden Pattaya.

The garden’s commitment to conservation and education continues to make it a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts.
