Pattaya Residents Plead for Police Action Against Serial Burglar

Pattaya —

Residents in Pattaya’s Soi Khao Talo have expressed their frustration and fear over a serial burglar who had been stealing from their rental rooms multiple times.

On July 9th, 2024, The Pattaya News reporters received a complaint from residents in Soi Khao Talo, claiming that a burglar has repeatedly broken into their rental rooms and stolen their belongings. The angry residents provided CCTV footage clearly capturing the suspect’s actions.

According to 43-year-old Ms. Hathairat (surname withheld for her privacy), her room has been broken into twice possibly by the same thief. She said this has forced her to live in constant fear as she is afraid the thief might return at any time.

Ms. Hathairat expressed disappointment in the alleged lack of action from the Pattaya police, stating that although she had already filed reports, no arrests have been made as of press time, and the burglar continues to target her neighborhood.

She added that other rooms in the complex have also been burgled, and their police reports have been met with similar inaction.

Mrs. Jamreung Panprateep, the 57-year-old owner of the rental property, stated that the victims are becoming hopeless in seeking the police’s help because of the lack of progress. She pleaded with the authorities to speed up their investigation and arrest the suspects before they strike again.
