Khao Kheow Open Zoo Holds Colorful Penguin Display for Final Few Games of Euro 2024

Pattaya, Thailand-

On July 7th, 2024, Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Sri Racha District, Chonburi Province, Thailand, celebrated the European Football Championship “Euro 2024.”

As part of the festivities, the zoo decorated the venue with national flags from various participating nations. Officials donned shirts representing European national football teams to enhance the festive atmosphere.

Visitors had the delightful opportunity to witness a parade of over 40 adorable Humboldt penguins. These charming creatures showcased their cuteness by parading, exercising, and interacting closely with spectators. Tourists could even feed the penguins and take selfies with them.

Zoo staff organized engaging activities for the penguins, including playing with more than 30 colorful balls in the water. This not only entertained visitors but also promoted natural animal behavior and sensory training, utilizing the penguins’ eyesight.

For those interested, there are two daily showtimes: Round 1 at 10:00 a.m. and Round 2 at 2:00 p.m., with additional shows on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays at 3:30 p.m.
