Teen Dispute Turns Deadly in Bangkok: Police Detain Seven Suspects After Double Homicide

Bangkok —

At 11:30 PM, on July 6th, 2024, Bang Na police received a report of a fatal quarrel involving seven teenagers who allegedly murdered two individuals, aged 15 and 16, and severely injured another 16-year-old in Soi Udomsuk 26, Bang Na, Bangkok.

Upon arrival, officers and rescuers discovered the bodies of the two minors, who were brutally murdered with five stab wounds and fatal head injuries caused by a 3-kilogram rock.

A nearby 16-year-old victim, also a minor, was found in critical condition with stab wounds to his torso. He received first aid before being transported to Bang Phli Hospital for immediate treatment. It was reported that the 16-year-old victim is now safe under the doctor’s care. The names of the victims were withheld by the police due to their age.

As evidence, the officers found a bloodstained rock and a six-inch knife at the scene.

The incident reportedly stemmed from previous social media quarrels and a dispute over damage to the suspects’ motorbike, for which the victims’ guardians had agreed to pay 2,000 baht in compensation.

However, a chance encounter on the day of the incident led to the fatal altercation.

Police identified all seven juvenile suspects, aged 14-16, whose names were withheld due to their age. They were taken to Bang Na police station for further legal proceedings on charges of murder and other related crimes.
