Pattaya —

Pattaya police arrested a Thai woman after she allegedly drugged and robbed her foreign date in Bangkok of his expensive Rolex watch and a gold chain worth over half a million baht in June 2024.

The arrest came after an unidentified foreign tourist filed a complaint at the Huai Khwang Police Station in Bangkok on June 20th. The tourist alleged he was drugged and robbed of his 430,000-baht gold chain, 150,000-baht gold bracelet, a luxury Rolex watch, several brand-name clothes, and 800 Singapore dollars by a Thai woman he met on social media.

The tourist told police that he had been in a relationship with the suspect for four years. On June 19th, at around 10:30 PM, the woman visited him at his hotel room in the Thiam Ruam Mit area, Huai Khwang district, Bangkok.

While they were in the room chatting and eating, the tourist went to the bathroom. When he came out, he suddenly felt dizzy, as if he had been drugged. The tourist then fell unconscious and later woke up to discover his property stolen and that woman had disappeared. He then filed a complaint at the Huai Khwang Police Station.

A police investigation eventually led to the identification of the suspect, identified only as Ms. Kittiyakorn, 33. Police tracked her down to a condominium in Soi Phra Tamnak 1 in Pattaya and arrested her on July 5th, while she was still in her pajamas.

It was also discovered that Ms. Kittiyakorn had a prior criminal record for theft and was wanted on two arrest warrants issued by Pattaya Provincial Court and Min Buri Criminal Court.

Upon her arrest, Ms. Kittiyakorn was found in possession of a Rolex watch, believed to be one of the items stolen from the victim. She was taken into custody and charged with nighttime theft.

She did not, however, release a statement to The Pattaya News or other Thai media.
