A 44-year-old Russian woman jumped to her death from the 6th floor of a luxury condominium in Pattaya after an argument with her husband allegedly about her cannabis use. The incident occurred at around 10:36 PM on July 3rd, 2024.
Pattaya police received the report of the tragic incident and coordinated with Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Foundation before rushing to the condominium on Pattaya Second Road, Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province. There, they discovered the body of 44-year-old Oksana Savon next to the 40-story building.
The name of the decreased was publicly released by Pattaya police. Ms. Savon sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A police investigation revealed that Ms. Savon lived in a room on the 6th floor. Witnesses stated she had a heated argument with her husband, who is also Russian, in which her husband allegedly prohibited her from smoking cannabis. This disagreement likely led her to jump from the balcony, witnesses said.
The name of the husband was withheld by Pattaya authorities.
Pattaya police documented the scene and conducted an examination of the room. They are currently reviewing CCTV footage and conducting a detailed interview with the husband.
The deceased’s body was sent to the Chonburi Provincial Forensic Division for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. The victim’s embassy will be contacted.
