SCB X to Terminate Robinhood Delivery App Service, Urges Loan Repayment by July 30th

On July 2nd, 2024, the “ThaiRider Association” Facebook page announced that SCB X PCL. will terminate the Robinhood application service provided by its subsidiary, Purple Ventures Co., Ltd., effective from 8:00 PM on July 31st, 2024.

The announcement informed borrowers with small business loans via the Robinhood application that they must repay their outstanding loans by:

  1. Paying off the total outstanding loan through various banking applications by July 30th, 2024.
  2. For those enrolled in daily automatic payments, the system will continue deductions until July 30th, 2024. Any remaining balance must also be paid off through banking applications by this date.

The company requests that all outstanding loans be settled by July 30th, 2024. After this date, SCB X reserves the right to sell the debt and/or take other appropriate actions. Riders can check their outstanding balances and make payments through the “Repay” menu in the Robinhood Rider/Robinhood Shop application.

Additionally, a notice addressed to electric motorcycle renters announced the termination of the EV rental agreement. The message explained that during a June 25th, 2024, board meeting, SCB X approved the termination of the Robinhood application service from July 31st, 2024, and H Sem Trading Corporation Ltd. agreed to cancel its contract with Purple Ventures Co., Ltd.

Renters were informed that the business would cease operations on July 31st, 2024, necessitating the termination of vehicle and electric motorcycle rental agreements.

All related documents and agreements will end on this date. Riders must return the rented electric motorcycles to the lessor by or before July 31st, 2024.
