Pattaya —
The Na Jomtien Municipality has erected signs warning tourists of a dangerous slope at Na Jomtien Beach caused by erosion.
The signs warn beachgoers to avoid using the area temporarily. A large section of the beach (around 1,000 meters long) has been severely eroded by monsoon waves and strong winds, creating a steep slope as high as 1.5-2 meters.
The eroded area poses a safety hazard to both locals and tourists due to the uneven sand. Authorities stressed that tourists should avoid the area especially at night when visibility is limited.
We previously reported on this issue when the erosion began here.
