Gang of Motorcycle Thieves Caught on CCTV, Stealing 2 Motorcycles in One Night Near Pattaya

Pattaya —

A gang of motorcycle thieves has been caught on CCTV stealing two motorcycles in one night near Pattaya.

CCTV footage of the thefts can be found here.

The incident occurred on the night of June 3rd at a building in the Pong sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province. According to the first victim, Ms. Paweena Hongsithong, 23, her white/blue Honda Wave 125i motorcycle with a red license plate had been stolen from the front of her building.

Ms. Paweena filed a report with Nongprue police and provided the officers with CCTV footage which clearly captured the thieves. The footage showed three men approaching Ms. Paweena’s motorcycle at around midnight. They quickly broke the lock and rode away on the motorcycle.

However, about 40 minutes later, the same gang of thieves returned to the building and stole another motorcycle, a white Honda PCX, from another resident. Luckily, the motorcycle was later found hidden in a nearby forest and was returned to the rightful owner.

Ms. Surirat Tangkiewsukullani, 59, who witnessed the second theft, told The Pattaya News that she heard dogs barking and went outside to see what was happening. She saw the thieves stealing the motorcycle and shouted for help, but they were able to escape.

Police are currently investigating the incident and are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the suspects.
