Pattaya City Invests 3.1 Billion Baht into Putting Power Lines Underground

Pattaya Mayor Mr. Poramase Ngampiches announced that the project to put the city’s power lines underground is progressing well with a budget of 3.1 billion baht.

The project involves the installation of underground power lines, the relocation of high-voltage overhead lines, the reorganization of power cables, and the installation of communication infrastructure along nine key routes spanning a total distance of 20 kilometers within the city.

According to Mr. Poramase, Pattaya is one of four pilot cities selected by the Thai Cabinet in 2017 to relocate most of its overhead wires. The project aims to improve the city’s image and the quality of life for Pattaya residents.

The project is being implemented in three phases along nine main routes across Pattaya, including Pattaya North Road, Pattaya Central Road, Sukhumvit Road, Pattaya One Road, Pattaya Second Road, Pattaya Third Road, Soi Buakhao, Pattaya South Road Section 1, and Pattaya South Road Section 2.
