At 3:00 AM, on May 25th, 2024, Mr. Chada Thaiseth, the Deputy Minister of the Interior, alongside the Thai Narcotics Suppression Bureau (NSB) and over 150 personnel, conducted a raid at “DIRTY Pub Pattaya” in Soi Kho Phai, Pattaya, Chonburi.

According to Thai officers, concerned citizens had reported “DIRTY Pub Pattaya” for being a hub of illegal activities and drug distribution. The venue was allegedly frequented by teenagers and visitors engaging in illicit substance use and distribution. Additionally, frequent physical disputes among visitors and operations extending beyond legal hours were reported.
The police investigation revealed that the establishment was located in a densely populated area, surrounded by over 100 households. Upon arrival, police found more than 300 pubgoers drinking and dancing. Documentation checks and drug tests were conducted, resulting in 219 individuals testing positive for drugs, comprising 103 males and 116 females.
Further searches of the visitors’ vehicles led to the seizure of two firearms and additional illicit substances. Initial legal actions were taken against the pub’s owners and individuals involved for providing services without legal permission, selling alcoholic beverages beyond legal hours, and allowing the use of illicit substances on the premises.
As a consequence, “DIRTY Pub Pattaya” was ordered to shut down for five years, following a directive from Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
This action underscores the importance of cross-sector collaboration in combating illicit substances, local influential figures involved in illegal activities, illegal firearms, and other illegal activities throughout Thailand.
