Pattaya Mayor Works on Water Shortage on Koh Larn

Pattaya —

Pattaya Mayor Mr. Poramese Ngampiches is working with Chonburi Governor Mr. Thawatchai Srithong to tackle the water situation on Koh Larn.

The two met with East Water Company, the main water supply company on the island, on Thursday, May 2nd, to discuss immediate and long-term solutions.

To address the long-term water shortage issue, authorities instructed East Water Company to increase the island’s water production capacity. The company agreed to increase its daily water production to 3,000 cubic meters per day from the current 300 cubic meters by early next year. This increase is expected to meet the island’s growing water demand of both residents and tourists.

In the meantime, officials are working to distribute more water to the affected areas until the long-term solution takes effect.
