Pattaya City will be implementing a one-way traffic system on Soi 11 and Soi 13 of Pattaya Second Road connected to Soi Buakhao to alleviate traffic congestion starting May 21st, 2024.
The decision to implement the one-way system was made by the Pattaya City Council following a comprehensive study. The aim of the new traffic arrangement is to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion, particularly during peak hours.
Officials are urging motorists to be aware of this new traffic arrangement. The roads affected are also known locally in English as Soi Diana and Soi Honey, with Soi Honey being proposed for one way from Second Road to Buakhao and Soi Diana being proposed for one way from Soi Buakhao to Second Road.
The Pattaya News notes this is a test and was originally meant to start before Christmas in 2023 but was delayed due to requests from business owners in the area.
More specifics about the project should be answered in the next few weeks.
