Pattaya Police Seize 300 Bottles of Illicit Kratom Juice

Pattaya Police conducted a raid on an unauthorized mixed Kratom juice vendor in Soi Arunothai of Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi, late last night.

The operation, led by Pol. Capt. Itthiphon Tangchutaweesap, Deputy Superintendent of Pattaya Police Station, followed a public complaint regarding a vendor selling mixed Kratom juice near a school.

Upon arrival, authorities apprehended a young man, whose name was not released, selling the illicit beverage. The officers also discovered a large quantity of Kratom juice mixed with other ingredients stored in coolers. A total of 300 bottles were confiscated as evidence.

The suspect was arrested and faced charges under the Food Act of 1979 for the unauthorized sale of Kratom juice containing other ingredients.

Kratom is decriminalized as of 2022, however, is not allowed to be sold as a mixed juice without Thai FDA approval.
