Motorcycle and Lorry Collision on Pathum Thani Road Claims 14-Year-Olds Life, Injuring Other Minors

On November 13th, 2023, Thanyaburi police officers received an accident report about a 22-wheel lorry colliding with a motorcycle on the Rangsit-Nakhon Nayok road, Thanyaburi, Pathum Thani. There was one casualty reported.

A rescue team and a Thanyaburi medical team were dispatched to the incident scene and found a lorry had crashed into the front of a motorcycle. Nearby, there was an unidentified body, a 14-year-old victim, and two other anonymous friends of the victim found injured, a 14-year-old motorcyclist and a 15-year-old passenger. Their names were withheld due to being juveniles.

According to the report from Thanyaburi police officers, an anonymous 14-year-old motorcyclist reportedly stated that he was heading back home with his two other friends from a local festival. Suddenly, a group of people in an unidentified sedan allegedly followed them and shot at them. As a result, one motorcycle collided with the lorry.

The 14-year-old boy reportedly said to the police officers that his friend who lost his life had previously held a grudge against a man identified only as Mr. Tong, an alleged suspect, and his friends which led to the alleged shooting incident.

There was no further report from the police officers on the alleged shooters and the suspected sedan.
Initially, the Thanyaburi police officers investigated local CCTV as evidence and conducted interrogations on both the teenagers and the lorry’s driver to determine the exact cause of the incident and potentially trace down the alleged shooter(s).
