Intoxicated Woman in Pattaya Dashes Across Busy Road, Gets Hit By Motorbike

A Thai woman was hit by a motorbike and suffered serious injuries in Pattaya. Police and eyewitnesses said she was intoxicated and ran in front of the vehicle.

The injured woman, identified as Ms. Nipaporn Sansin, 40, was found lying on Pattaya Third Road yesterday evening, June 7th. She had suffered injuries from being struck by a motorcycle. She was in a heavily intoxicated state, according to Sawang Boriboon rescuers and police who rushed to help her at the scene.

The rescue team provided initial medical assistance before transferring her to Pattaya Hospital.

Another injured individual, Mr. Nattakit Binamart, 19, the motorbike rider, was found with superficial injuries. He was also provided medical treatment before being sent to Banglamung Hospital. His motorcycle, involved in the accident, a red Honda PCX, was found on the road with frontal damage.

According to Mr. Nattakit, he had been driving his motorbike from his home to meet a friend in North Pattaya. Before reaching the accident location, the woman suddenly ran across the road, causing him to be unable to brake in time and collide with her. Good Samaritans came to their aid and notified the authorities.

Nattakit was not intoxicated and was cooperative with authorities.

Police said both parties will be summoned for questioning after they fully recover.
