Pattaya —

A Thai man claimed he was crashed into by a white sedan that ran a red light near a Big C department store in Central Pattaya. The driver was still on the loose.

On May 30th, Mr. Thanachot Aranyapragorn, 26, took to local media to reveal his plight stating that the driver who crashed a white sedan into him and fled was still on the loose even after he filed a report to Pattaya Police 9 days ago.

Mr. Thanachot, a freelance worker, claimed that the accident took place on May 20th around 03:40 AM at an intersection near a Big C department store in Central Pattaya. He was driving his motorbike down the road towards Sukhumvit Road. When he arrived at the intersection, the traffic light was green to him, Mr. Thanachot stated.

However, as Mr. Thanachot was about to cross the intersection, a sedan came speeding down from Sukhumvit Road, turned right, and crashed heavily into Mr. Thanachot, sending him flying across the car hood and landing on the ground. The sedan then fled the scene, leaving Mr. Thanachot injured and struggling for help by himself.

Mr. Thanachot revealed to Thai media that a CCTV camera could clearly capture the accident moment and the sedan.

He had already given the CCTV recording to Pattaya Police and was waiting for investigation progress.

Mr. Thanachot wants the driver held responsible for the damage to his motorbike and his medical bills as well as to be held accountable for fleeing the scene of the accident.
