Four Chinese Fugitives Arrested in Bangkok

Bangkok Police apprehended four Chinese fugitives wanted by Chinese authorities for several criminal charges.

Today, May 23rd, police officers arrested Mr. Zhao (alias), a 35-year-old Chinese national at a luxurious condominium in the Rama 9 area within Huai Khwang district, Bangkok.

Zhao was a key wanted individual sought by Chinese authorities for an alleged chain investment fraud. The total amount of deceived investments exceeded 150 billion baht, according to police.

It was also found that Zhao’s temporary residence permit in Thailand had been revoked. He was subsequently handed over to the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) for further legal proceedings.

On a separate case, immigration officers in Bangkok arrested three Chinese individuals namely Mr. Yanfang, 35, Mr. Cheng Yi, 44, and Mr. Yuan, 45, today in the Bangkok area.

The three were wanted in China for tax evasion charges and smuggling of garbage.

The suspects’ visas have been revoked, and they are awaiting deportation to face legal action in China.
