Pattaya Man Injured by Neighbor After Noise Complaint, Pet Dog Helps Defend Victim

Pattaya –

A Thai pet dog was found patiently waiting and helping to protect its owner who had sustained injuries after he was hit by a neighbor in Pattaya following a noise complaint.

Emergency responders were notified of the incident overnight on Saturday (May 13th) near a police box in Rong Poa, Banglamung. They and the Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find Mr. Sompong Thongparp, 40, sitting on a motorbike sidecar. His face was covered in blood and a male dog was calmly sitting beside Sompong to protect him.

Mr. Sompong told the Pattaya News “I was drinking alcohol at my house alone except for my dog. My neighbor was annoyed that I was making loud noises while enjoying my drinking before a verbal argument started and the neighbor attacked me. I don’t want any legal action to be taken but I just want the police to tell the neighbor not to attack me again.”

The name of the neighbor was not released by law enforcement and Pattaya Police stated they would honor the request of the victim not to proceed ahead with legal charges.

Sompong added that his pet dog helped stay with him loyally throughout his injuries and helped drive the attacker away.

Sompong was taken to a local medical facility for further care for his head wounds, with his loyal dog at his side.
