World’s Best Beach on Kradan Island to Close for Four Months

Kradan Island in Trang which has the world’s best beach as voted by a popular travel website will be temporarily closed next month for an annual environmental restoration.

The Hat Chao Mai National Park in Trang announced the closure earlier this month. The annual marine tourism temporary closure will be for four months from June 1st to September 30th, 2023. Four islands in the national park area which are Mook Island, Kradan Island, Waen Island and Chuek Island will be temporarily closed.

These islands will be reopened again on October 1st, 2023. The closure will be for environmental restoration and due to the Southwest monsoon season which will not be suitable for marine tourism.

The head of the national park Mr. Parit Narasaritkun is inviting both Thais and foreign tourists to visit Kradan Island before the closure. The island has the world’s best beach which is listed in the Top 100 Beaches on Earth ranking published by the worldbeachguide.com website. The underwater areas on the island is also famous for diving too.
