Eleven People Injured After Passenger Minivan Crash in Phatthalung

A driver has sustained severe injuries while 11 passengers have sustained minor injuries after a minivan crashed into a trailer truck in Pabon.

The Pabon Police were notified of the accident on Tuesday (May 9th) on the Trang – Song Khla Road. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the damaged minivan on the road at the back of the trailer truck.

Inside the minivan rescue teams found the driver, Mr. Sirichai Soosoe, 48, who had sustained severe injuries.

Eleven passengers had sustained minor injuries who were eight women, two men, and a five-year-old girl. They were taken to nearby hospitals.

Ms. Nawarat Suwannakan, who was one of the minivan passengers, told Thai media that the passenger minivan driver was driving very fast from Trang.

The trailer truck driver, Mr. Warakorn Mueanwai, 48, stated to rescue workers that he had just parked his truck on the side of the road just one minute before the crash.

The Pabon Police are continuing their investigation into the accident for further possible legal action.
