Man Found Dead in Car with Running Engine in Pattaya

A Thai man was found dead inside a car with a running engine early this morning in Pattaya.

The incident was reported to Pattaya Police at 0:30 AM today, May 8th. Sawang Boriboon rescuers and Pattaya Police traveled to the scene to find a running Nissan Frontier pickup truck parked in Soi Map Yai Lia 43 in the Nongprue sub-district of Banglamung district.

When the authorities peeked inside the car, they discovered the victim, Mr. Manidet Tipnert, 45, lying in a reclining position. Upon inspection of his body, it was found that the man had already passed away.

Police suspected that he may have been deceased for approximately 3-4 hours. The deceased’s ID card and important documents were found.

The Pattaya News interviewed Mrs. Sasithorn Boonkerd, 54, who called the police. The Thai woman revealed that she saw the deceased’s car parked in an alleyway around 10:00 PM. She did not think much of it and assumed that Mr. Manidet had just stopped to rest for a while. However, when it was around midnight and the car was still there, she went to check it and found that Mr. Manidet had passed away. She then notified the police.

Sawang Boriboon rescuers transported the victim’s body to Banglamung Hospital.

Police were investigating as to the exact cause of death.
