Pattaya Mayor to Invest Another 400 Million Baht into Finishing Football Stadium Construction

Pattaya —

Pattaya mayor Poramase Ngampiches announced that he would invest another 400 million baht to finish the stalled construction of a massive football stadium in the Pattaya area.

Poramase on Wednesday, April 26th, posted on his personal Facebook account that he would partner up with the National Anti-Corruption Commission to monitor every process of the project’s third phase from the contractor procurement to auditing to ensure transparency.

He said another 400 million baht would be invested in the construction of the white-elephant football stadium, which is slated for completion no later than 2025 as previously announced by Pattaya deputy mayor Manoch Nongyai.

Poramase confidently affirmed that the project, which has been delayed for 9 years, deserves to go ahead because it plays a significant role in converting Pattaya into a sports tourism city.
