Decent Pattaya Motorcycle Taxi Rider Returns 13,000 Baht to American Tourist

Pattaya —

An honest Pattaya motorcycle taxi rider, Ms. Nonglak Prakobsap, 46, returned a forgotten wallet with cash worth 13,700 baht and 16 US Dollars to an American tourist at 4 AM this morning, April 26th.

Ms. Nonglak, who operates a taxi service in Soi Six, gave the black wallet to Pattaya Police after discovering it on the ground of an alley nearby.

She said she had driven an intoxicated foreign tourist to his hotel in South Pattaya from this spot earlier in the evening and believed that it belonged to him after seeing his picture in the wallet. She also mentioned that the man claimed he did not have money when he was dropped off, but she willingly let him go without payment.

The wallet contained over 13,700 baht in cash and 16 US Dollars. Police identified the tourist as an American man, Mr. Bobby B., who was staying at a hotel in South Pattaya and was part of the recent military visit in the area by the USS Nimitz.

The officers contacted Mr. Bobby through Navy shore patrol assistants and were told that he would come pick up his wallet tomorrow morning. Bobby reportedly thanked Ms. Nonglak for her kindhearted act.
