Woman in Pattaya Allegedly Shot Dead by Ex-Boyfriend Who Later Dies by Suicide

Pattaya —

A woman was brutally shot in the head two times reportedly by her ex-boyfriend and passed away. The gunman later took his own life to flee punishment.

At 04:30 AM today, April 18th, Pattaya Police received a report of a woman who had been shot near the Mantra Pura Hotel in North Pattaya and rushed to the scene along with Sawang Boriboon rescuers.

At the scene, the authorities found a Thai woman, 32-year-old Ms. Jutathip Ayuyuen, lying unresponsive on the ground. The woman had sustained two gunshot wounds to the occipital region of her head. She was found on the ground while hugging her Thai friend, 31-year-old Ms. Apassanun Trisopin, who sustained no injuries.

Ms. Jutathip was rushed to the nearest hospital by rescuers, but she sadly later succumbed to her injuries. Police collected two gun shells at the incident scene.

The officers interviewed Ms. Apassanun about the shooting. The woman said the gunman was the victim’s ex-boyfriend. He secretly followed them to the hotel on a motorbike before parking the vehicle, walking up to them, and suddenly opening fire at the victim.

Ms. Apassanun said Ms. Jutathip used her body to defend her from the bullets. Jutathip collapsed to the ground while holding Apassanun, so she decided to play dead and survived the incident without injuries. Apassanun said the suspect raced his Honda Forza motorbike away after the shooting.

According to Pattaya Police, the gunman was identified as 37-year-old Mr. Buddhachak Muleethet. He was a fitness trainer in the Pattaya area.

The suspect was found dead outside an abandoned building on Soi Pattaya 32 at 10:30 AM today, April 18th. He had suffered a single gunshot wound to his head, and Pattaya Police believed he had died by suicide. The officers collected a .38 revolver beside the man’s body. His Honda Forza motorbike was also found at the scene.

Police believed that Mr. Buddhachak became frustrated at the victim after she refused to reconcile a relationship with him and decided to shoot her in a fit of anger. However, the authorities will investigate further to determine the exact cause of this tragedy.
