The Pattaya News team recently got invited to a special tour of the brand new Horror Hospital located at Ripley’s Believe It Or Not in the Royal Garden Shopping Mall in South Pattaya, not far from Walking Street.
The brand new attraction grand opened recently and invites all those brave of heart to come and experience what they call the world’s scariest hospital.
With a variety of pricing deals and promotions on a regular basis, it is a perfect time to come and get scared…and we certainly had that as we toured the massive complex.
We don’t want to spoil too much for those looking to explore the grounds of the hospital themselves but we did want to touch on a few points… It’s a lot larger than one may think, taking up a significant portion of the Second Floor portion of Royal Garden facing the Beach end.
The attraction features amongst other locations a morgue, a nursery, a dentist office, a graveyard, surgery, emergency rooms, mental ward, record rooms, mess hall, hospital wards, and our personal favorite a visit to the shocking maternity ward of the hospital.
With a mix between live action actors, animatronics, jump scares, and incredibly detailed sets the hospital is the perfect addition to Ripley’s Believe it Or Not. It may, however, be a bit too scary for young children and features some areas of almost total blackness as you feel your way along pitch black hospital corridors.
We have toured the original haunted house in Ripley’s, a funeral home, previously and of the two this is certainly the more intense and visual, although both are an exciting experience. For those who get a bit too overwhelmed with the scares there are ample exits provided along the tour of the hospital if you feel like fleeing early!
The actors in the Horror Hospital have professional makeup and have been trained on moving and reacting in a manner guaranteed to scare you, although they won’t touch you and a short video plays before touring the hospital warning visitors not to touch the denizens of the hospital.
The Horror Hospital is open from 1130 AM to 1030PM and is located on the 2nd floor of Ripley’s Believe it Or Not.
