Pattaya Baht Bus Driver is Looking for Owner of Forgotten Backpack

Pattaya —

An honest Pattaya baht bus driver is looking for the owner of a forgotten backpack that he spotted in the back of his truck.

Mr. Anek Luangaroonsri, the driver, had entrusted the backpack to Pattaya Police after he found it in the back of his baht bus around 8 PM yesterday, April 5th.

The 55-year-old man said he drives the baht bus number 155 and he received a foreign passenger from Walking Street and drove them to Central Pattaya Mall.

Later on, while he was dropping off his other passengers, some passengers came and notified him that there was a backpack in his truck bed. The bag possibly belonged to a foreign tourist who he had dropped off earlier, as it contained Turkish currency amounting to 1,200 Turkish Lira (equivalent to 2,108 baht) as well as a lot of important documents. Mr. Anek then quickly returned to the mall, but unfortunately, he could not find the tourist.

The driver told The Pattaya News that he wanted the bag’s owner to visit the Pattaya Police Station and reclaim their belongings because he understood how important the forgotten property was to its owner.

The bag remains at the police station as of press time.
