Pattaya Man Arrested with Four Homemade Guns

Pattaya —

A Thai man was arrested yesterday at his Pattaya residence with four homemade guns.

Banglamung Police equipped with a search warrant raided a house in the Takhian Tia area to arrest a Thai man, Mr. Wichet Wongsing, 39, after receiving an anonymous tip that the man possessed several illegal firearms.

Police had been accumulating evidence that the man hoarded illegal guns at his house for a while before requesting a court’s warrant to storm the house.

Upon searching, the officers found a homemade .38 caliber pistol with 3 rounds of ammunition hidden in the headboard, a loaded .22 caliber pistol in a bedroom closet, and another .22 caliber hidden in a compartment in a parked trailer next to the house, and a long air gun found in a storage room.

Wichet reportedly confessed to owning the guns to police without providing reasons for his possession. The man along with his guns were taken to the Banglamung police station for legal action.
