Sattahip —

A streetwise stray discovered a surprising stash of more than 1,000 meth pills lying around on a local street in the Sattahip area.

Locals from the Phu Ta Luang sub-district of Sattahip district contacted police after spotting a white street dog walking around with a blue bag of methamphetamine pills in its mouth.

The area has many residents mostly elderly and children. According to local media, the dog that first found the stash is a stray named “Namdtan,” which means sugar in English. It is two years old, and some locals noticed it while it was gnawing a blue bag which subsequently caused a lot of meth pills to spill out.

Police officers counted the drugs and revealed there were 1,160 of them, all were kept as evidence.

Police suspected that the drugs belonged to a dealer in the area who tried to stash them away in the woods waiting for smaller dealers to come and pick them up.

Luckily, the dog probably smelled it and thought it was a toy, leading to this unexpected discovery.
