Thai influential politician and businessman Chonsawat Asavahame has tragically died at the age of 55 after he experienced heatstroke while practicing car racing.

Chonsawat or Aea, who loved car racing, traveled to practice racing at Chang International Circuit in Buriram province where he suddenly collapsed from heatstroke and was promptly admitted to Buriram Hospital yesterday, March 30th.

At about 1 AM this morning, Chonsawat was pronounced dead at a local hospital. A post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of his death.

Chonsawat was born on November 19th, 1968. He is the son of Wattana Asavahame, a former minister of several ministries who is living in self-exile absconding judiciary process in Thailand. He is a well-known businessman and politician who was previously elected as the chief of the Samut Prakan Provincial Administrative Organization.

The Pattaya News notes that heatstroke is a serious condition that can occur when the body overheats and is unable to cool down.

It is important to take preventative measures such as staying hydrated, avoiding prolonged exposure to high temperatures, and taking breaks in cool or shaded areas, especially during this period of year in Thailand when the weather is typically very hot.
