Pattaya Woman Nabbed at Police Checkpoint for Carrying Crystal Meth and Meth Pills

Pattaya —

Pattaya Police caught a Thai woman with 13 grams of crystal meth and 19 meth pills during an early-hour routine checkpoint today, March 22nd.

The officers were running a checkpoint on Pattaya Third Road as usual at 02:30 AM today when a female motorcyclist drove into the check zone. Armed with body cams, the officers asked to search the Thai woman and her yellow Honda Click motorbike with a Bangkok license plate, and discovered illegal drugs including 13 grams of crystal meth and 19 meth pills hidden in the woman’s waist pouch.

The woman was identified by police as Ms. Panada Saiklang, 38. The officers transported her from the checkpoint to the Pattaya Police Station to face drug charges. Panada reportedly confessed to obtaining the crystal meth for 6,000 baht, saying the meth pills were “bonus” giveaways for her purchase from the dealer. Pattaya Police are reportedly working on identifying the dealer.

The moment when the drugs were found in the suspect’s possession was clearly recorded on body cameras, police told The Pattaya News. The woman is undergoing legal proceedings and remains in police custody as of press time.
