Sattahip —

Sattahip Police were shocked when they found a brand new rocket launcher discarded in the middle of Chonburi’s Sattahip district.

On Monday, March 20th, police were alerted to the discovery of a potentially deadly rocket launcher by some factory workers who stumbled upon it on the side of the road in the Sattahip district. The weapon is used to combat tanks, and it was found with no rockets, according to the investigators who went to the scene to inspect it.

The anti-tank launcher is in good condition and bears English letters and numbers that indicate its lot number ARMA44 82 0009. Although the weapon posed no threat as it had no ammunition, it was transported to the Naval Ordnance Department to determine its owner and where it came from, according to the authorities.

Pol. Col. Panya Dumlek, superintendent of the Sattahip Police Station, told local media that the owner of the weapon may have abandoned it in fear of getting caught because police are currently launching intense inspections against illegal items, such as drugs and weapons. He said he would coordinate with the Naval Ordnance Department to uncover the owner of the launcher.
