Scrap Yard Bursts into Flames in Pattaya

Pattaya —

A fire gutted a scrap yard in Pattaya at 10:30 AM today, March 17th. No injuries were reported.

The Pattaya firefighter unit rushed to an incident site in Soi Ko Phai in the Banglamung district of Pattaya after being alerted to a fire that was burning in a scrap yard in the middle of an alley. The smoke could be seen far away from the site, according to several Pattaya residents and netizens.

After arriving, the firefighters immediately jumped into action and successfully extinguished the blaze in under an hour. A large number of scraps such as planks, plastic bags, old wires, and a six-wheeler were destroyed. The Pattaya News asked Mr. Pornchai Khun-aim, 26, who is a worker at the yard, and was told that a worker was trying to gas-cut steel when a fire suddenly broke out.

The flames quickly spread, so the workers eventually had to contact the authorities. Luckily, no injuries were reported.
