Pattaya Mayor Poramase Ngampiches recently visited Berlin in Germany to jointly open the Discover Thailand, Journey to Happiness event in the hope of attracting more German tourists to Pattaya.
In the mayor’s personal Facebook post, Poramase disclosed that he had recently traveled to the KaDeWe department store in Berlin to open the Discover Thailand event along with other Thai officials including Yuthasak Supasorn, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).
The tourism stimulus expo, which ran from March 9th to 11th, was hosted in collaboration between TAT and Central Group with a campaign “Visit Thailand Year 2023: Amazing New Chapters.” The event is aimed at drawing high-spending German tourists and other European visitors to come to Thailand and Pattaya to boost tourism.
Poramase, during the expo, acted as a tour guide and led participants to several booths that showcased highlights of Pattaya. In the Facebook post, he revealed that the event garnered enthusiastic responses and positive feedback from numerous foreigners.
