UPDATE: Chonburi Mother-in-Law Killer Arrested, Stated he was Angry After Being Called a “Pimp”

A violent husband who shot dead his 60-year-old mother-in-law in the head and face surrendered himself to police yesterday, February 20th.

First our previous story:

A son-in-law allegedly shot his elderly mother-in-law in the head, killing her on the spot before escaping. The 60-year-old victim sustained two fatal gunshot wounds: one in her forehead and the other on the bridge of the nose.

Now for our update:

The gunman turned himself in at the Phan Thong police station with a 9mm pistol that he used to murder his mother-in-law, Mrs. Kanungnit Thamphichai, in front of a noodle restaurant in the Phan Thong district of Chonburi on February 19th.

The suspect’s identity was disclosed by police as 43-year-old Mr. Narawit Tumthong. He alleged that he shot the victim because he was angry after the victim called him a “pimp”. The man refused to perform a crime reenactment due to fear of a public lynching.

Narawit was charged with intentional murder, unpermitted possession of a firearm, and carrying a gun into public without permission.

The suspect’s wife and daughter of the departed victim declined speaking with the press as she scrubbed the blood stains off her noodle restaurant.
