Pattaya Deputy Mayor Visits and Gives Update on Pattaya Beach Construction Work

Pattaya —

Pattaya deputy mayor Manoch Nongyai visited the ongoing pavement development project on the beach side of Pattaya.

The visit took place yesterday, February 16th, at 1:30 PM. Pattaya Deputy Mayor Manoch Nongyai told The Pattaya News that the pavement project is divided into three zones: A, B, and C. The pavement is two kilometers in length, covering the beachside area from the Dusit Curve to Walking Street.

The A zone, which is from Dusit to about Soi 6, is one month away from full completion while the B zone, which comprises the central section of Beach Road near Soi 6 to about Mike Shopping Mall, is under the start of construction, according to the deputy mayor. He said workers will move on to the C zone, near Walking Street and the area most likely to impact traffic, only after the A and B zones are fully complete to minimize any impact on pedestrians.

This project is also meant to widen Beach Road to allow around 100 additional cars to be parked there, he said.

However, until the project is completed, which there is not a firm date of completion at this time, beach road parking on the beach side is being canceled as of March 1st as we previously reported here.
