Chonburi —

A fire, which was believed to cause by a malfunctioned ventilator, erupted in an alloy wheel warehouse in the Ban Bueng district last night, January 24th.

Ban Bueng firefighters rushed to a warehouse owned by an alloy manufacturing company named “SMP Dragon” located in the Nong Bon Daeng sub-district.

An unknown number of workers were seen escaping from the fire when the authorities arrived. Some were hefting the factory’s products away from the blaze.

The firefighters used water spray to contain the fire, which was finally extinguished at an unreported time. No injuries were reported either, though the factory and a large number of products in the company’s stock had been significantly damaged.

An immigrant worker only identified as Tone told local media that he heard a ventilator inside the warehouse exploded and saw a lot of sparkles. He and other workers already tried to unsuccessfully put out the fire by themselves before calling the firefighter units.

Ban Bueng Police are investigating the scene to find the exact cause of the fire and evaluating the cost of the damages.
