Alleged Drunk Driver Survives Collision with Power Pole in Pattaya

Pattaya —

An alleged drunk driver who was driving home from a party in Pattaya crashed into an electricity pole and sustained injuries yesterday, January 22nd.

At 6 AM, Sawang Boriboon rescue workers were alerted to the accident in Soi Pattaya Sukhumvit 20 in the Nongprue subdistrict of Banglamung district, Chonburi.

The victim, Mr. Narong Jaiharn, was trapped in his sedan and seemed intoxicated, said the rescue team. The rescuers freed him and found that the 51-year-old victim suffered minor head injuries and a few bone fractures.

While being bewildered, the man confessed to the rescuers that he had previously drunk alcohol at a party in Pattaya and was heading home. He admitted that he could not control his car and rammed into a power pole.

The man was transported to Banglamung Hospital. The police were proceeding with legal action against him.
